Autumn 2015 is now officially upon us (although the weather hasn't decided it yet with the few recent warm days we have had). It is time to leave the summer salads behind for something a little more hearty and filling to satisfy the hunger as the nights draw in.
We have challenged our chefs to present dishes that used seasonal fruit and vegetables combined with meat and fish that are currently in abundance.
So they came up with this, our new Autumn 2015 Dinner menu.
Simon, our head chef said "It's always a challenge to present a menu that is diverse. To bring new ideas and flavours to customers yet satisfying customers with the old staple classics. My personal favourite from the new menu is the Beetroot and Vodka cured Salmon to start as I get the most satisfaction from cooking this dish. Followed by the Port Fillet and Scallops for main, my take on 'Surf and Turf'.
Mat, our Sous Chef, picked the Tartare of line caught mackerel as his favourite dish. 'We get our fish delivered daily straight from Cornwall, so I know I am cooking with ingredients that was caught overnight.' For mains Mat selected the Barbury duck breast, saying 'this dish is just bursting with flavours'.
